TAKE GOD FOR WHO HE IS (series one)

 

....for I am God, and there is no one else; I am God, and there is none like Me (Isaiah 46:9)

Who do you take God for, one of the gods in your village or one of those magicians?

You see most of us believe He is just a god, No! He is the God and not just one.., He rules in majesty and glory, the beauty of his splendour is beyond human imagination and description (Isaiah 6:1-4), He is the God-head of all the heaven, the one in Trinity and Trinity himself, He ruleth at his pleasure  and Justice is his judgement.

What do you take him for, just a provider?

Anyway I have come to tell you that what you take him for is what he will be to you, if you only believe him for provision and only regard him as Jehovah-Jireh neglecting the fact that he is God who have the capacity to do all things(Luke 1:37), then he leaves you at your State of ignorance.

Many of the so-called believers today are idol worshippers unknowingly, they believe they are worshipping God, they take only one side of him and start worshipping him there, Nay! That's idolatry! 

Do you ever wonder why God used to take his time to explain himself to those he encountered personally? It's to stop them from knowing him one sidedly. When he called Moses, he told him at first that I am the God of your Fathers which can make any man to misbehave and become an idol worshipper thinking it's one of his father idol who spoke to him but God didn't stop there, He moves further to tell him I AM THAT I AM, he reveals his true Identity as the only God and clears off any doubt, illusion or aberration from Moses mind of who He is cause from this name all His attribute is Embedded.

Who do you call him?

Most a times, we called him a limited God by our actions though he is unlimited and this has caused many to wander away from the path of Glory and stay long in the wilderness of life because he chose to answer them according to their revelation of him.( Numbers 14)

AMP:Tell them, As I live, says the Lord, what you have said in My hearing I will do to you( Numbers 14:28)

Jesus asked his disciples of who he was to clear every ideas of their fathers off their head, many of the isrealites has seen God perfoming raw miracles and still take him for one of the gods(Exodus 32:8) and that's how you do too, despite the fact that God provides for you,save you from death and Heal you from a chronic disease, you still went ahead to idolise your pastor and to offer sacrifice to your father's gods in your village.

 Jesus wanted to be sure if truly the disciples (you) have been following him with their mind and sense.

Do you call him God when in despair?

The isrealites are stiff-necked people who only remember God when they are in one challenge or another. Are you different from them? You drink and merry forgetting someone called God when you are debt-free, sickness-free, and free from any attack of your enemies and you devoid him of his food in praise and worship, you reject the hand of love he strected out still until you are in need. May I tell you that you are an hypocrite and a rebel! This was exactly the lifestyle of the isrealites when Jesus came,they followed him because of miracles and provision and later chant him to be crucified, if you are one of the miracles sought after christian, you are actually on your way to destruction and have missed the road, it's better you trace your way back to the cross.

The reason why most of the isrealites died in the wilderness and most of the believers today is they do not regards God in their heart, they beheld him with their face, nailed him to the cross still to come visit him when the challenge of life is greater and tougher beyond their power and he gave them to a reprobate mind.(Romans 1:28)

KJV:And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (Romans 1:28)

As I drop my pen for this series; my advice to you is to take God for God, not God today and gods tomorrow, He is God and not a man, He has no likeness not even a man, until you are able to know and recognize him for who he is, it might be difficult for you to face your Pharaoh.
