DO IT YOUR OWN WAY..... NEGLECTING NOT THE MASTER'S TRAINING
In the previous series of this article DO IT YOUR OWN WAY we were instructed to stop using the same pattern as of what we saw others doing but in this series, not that I am writing to you to turn back from what I wrote earlier but to admonish you to identify when to combine your ideas with that of your master's and when to capitalize on your own ideas.
AMP:Pattern yourselves after me [follow my example], as I imitate and follow Christ (the Messiah).( I Corinthians 11:1)
Most of the time, the tactics your master used to train you will be the only solution you have to succeed in such a cross- road. Two instances in the scripture described this well when Elisha was about to be stranded of ideas, and how to do some things he remembered how his master used to do it and same result was achieved.
AMP:And he took the mantle that fell from Elijah and struck the waters and said, Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah? And when he had struck the waters, they parted this way and that, and Elisha went over.(2 Kings 2:14)
AMP:So he went in, shut the door on the two of them, and prayed to the Lord; He went up and lay on the child, put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands. And as he stretched himself on him and embraced him, the child’s flesh became warm.( 2Kings 4:33-34).
As much necessary and useful it is to do it your own way, so also it is much expedient for you to engraved the master's training in your heart for they help in bringing victories too. As an apprentice, it's expected of us to pass through the phase of vigorous training because without training and certification you can not become a master or stand on your own and your boss will be afraid to let you go out to face danger of death and mediocrity for they easily discern dangers ahead.
AMP:And Saul said to David, You are not able to go to fight against this Philistine. You are only an adolescent, and he has been a warrior from his youth.(I Samuel 17:33)
Being a brave and courageous man is good in all aspects of life but without mastering the master's teaching and training expose us to dangers of death and Disgrace but when you retain the master's training in your heart it brings an outstanding results.
AMP:For they are a [victor’s] chaplet (garland) of grace upon your head and chains and pendants [of gold worn by kings] for your neck.(Proverbs 1:9)
You cannot neglect the training of your master and expect victories, No! It doesn't work that way, you must hold them in high esteem, keeping them in your heart that it may be a light unto you and a lamp unto thy path. Peter in his ministry perform his duty in most cases differently to that of Jesus but there was one case which proves him a well trained student of Jesus and the results was a testimony.
AMP:But Peter put them all out [of the room] and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body he said, Tabitha, get up! And she opened her eyes; and when she saw Peter, she raised herself and sat upright; And he gave her his hand and lifted her up. Then calling in God’s people and the widows, he presented her to them alive.( Acts 9:40,41)
Combination of your ideas and what you learnt from your master will bring nothing but accurate success, no doubt about it for in the multitudes of counsel there is safety.(Joshua 1:8)
My message for you in this series is to be effective in your dealings by putting into consideration the teaching and training of your master and combine them with yours when making a decision to advance.
