SHOW OF SHAME series two

......and If I perish I perish (Esther 4:16)

.....How then can I do this great evil and sin against God? (Genesis 39:10)

In time past during the days of our ancestors of faith, they were able to declare their faith openly, no discrimination among brethren, and they all stand on their feet to defend the faith they profess. Where is the place of our stand as a youth for God?

The past generals sacrificed a lot of things for God in order to have an encounter with him yet we are here celebrating mediocrity amidst ourselves, there are no thirsts neither hunger for an encounter from God in our fellowships today.

Our fathers in their time

• Were on fire for Christ

• Had a zeal to work for God

• Had a passion for the perishing souls

• Despised the things of the world

• Fixed their attention on Christ alone

• Tarried for power and travail for revival

• Shook their territory mightily for God

• Followed the precept of God wholly

• Even their life means nothing to them when they could say “If I perish I perish” (Esther 4:16) just to save their generations.

• They were able to ask How can I do this great wickedness and sin against God just to fulfil their destiny in order to be a deliverer of their people.

What then is our take in the race of faith when there is no more hunger for the kingdom business again among the Christian brethren; we are all occupied with;

 Pride 

 Fashion

 Seminars

 Single Summits

 Feasting  

 Shows

 Excursion

 Pleasure and others 

There is no more place for digging deep in the word of God, bible study, prayers or Evangelism; no more hunger for revival again. We are all wasting away displaying all sorts of show which are shameful.

Sisters in the church today are fond of showing off their newly bought dress, hairstyles, phones; they do not have the desire to be the queen in the palace of king Ahasuerus to save the Jew of their generation, there are no sisters who could rise up as Deborah to declare that “if there be no man in Israel”. All of them are short sightedness and lukewarm as Dinah. How I wish our sisters could recover from their slumber and bring this show of shameless attitude to an end and live a life worthy of emulations.

Hmmm! Even the brothers who are to be served as a king, who are to be a threat to the kingdom of darkness are all being disdained and wounded by the devil due to our slackness in the spirit. We don’t bother to know God the more as of Moses and Paul, we are all contented with what we heard from our fathers and what we read in the scriptures, no more;

➡️Hunger for holy ghost baptism

➡️Thirst or passion for rural rugged evangelism

➡️Zeal for all-night prayer

➡️No more interceding prayers for brethren and no one to stand in gap between God and man to avert the wrath of God like Abraham and Moses.

We are all concerned about what to become, what to eat, how to build a mansion and to ride exotic cars, and how to lure the beautiful sisters in our fellowship with our speaking in tongues and the little gifts we possessed. What a show of Shame!!! We don’t desire the mantle of our fathers as of Elisha and they all died and take it back to the grave; we do not see the need for the healing anointing and power to raise the dead like the generals of old. 

Chaii!!!is this how our generation will pass away without any positive impacts?

It is time for us to stay awake from our sleep and take the challenge upon ourselves to deliver our generation out of bondage before it is too late.

I beseech the youths of this age to stop this shameless attitudes and take up their cross to follow Christ.
