TARRY YE
TARRY YE!
AMP:And behold, I will send forth upon you what My Father has promised; but remain in the city [Jerusalem] until you are clothed with power from on high. Luke 24:49
It's really disheartening how many of us responds to God's command on some things; most especially the young christians, we really desire some greater things from God, we want to operate in new dimensions of power and grace, we want to host the presence of the almighty and want to do greater work than that of Jesus but eventually, we are missing it somewhere.
Where exactly are we missing it? Is it in place of prayer? No! Because many of us can pray and tongue for hours even days, then where, is it in place of studying? Smiles! Not really cause I know some christian folks who have read Bible cover to cover many times, so it's not in the place of studying. Now you are curious to know the reason why we are not walking in the dimensions promised unto us by the Lord Jesus.
In Africa and mostly Nigeria, no child will ever play or joke with the last prayer/word of his parents speak to them while dying because they know the efficacy of those words. Little wonder the disciples of Jesus make sure they waited till they were endued , Jesus when he was about ascending gave an instruction that encapsulate all what we are dying, fasting and praying for....it's Tarrying!
Tarry ye in Jerusalem ( Luke 24:49)
These two word and a short sentence TARRY YE have been taking for granted and with a levity hand in our generation, it's been seen as something not important but in it embeds all what we need to journey through, overcome and do wonders in our age but we have neglect the place of Tarrying.
Tarrying is not your self isolation, it's your obedience to God's instructions, it's not your 3 days fasting and prayer, it's about surrenderness in the spirit realm. Many of us do tarry of a truth but later truncate the journey purposely because of our eagerness to manifest, we rushed out of God's presence because there is appearance, neglecting the resting on and the enduement, no man can carry God with out passing through these 3 processes of appearance,resting on and enduement.
If we are to host the divinity of the Trinity in our lives, if we must posses territories for God, if we must do greater works that he did, then there is a need for a genuine tarrying like that of the Apostles, no rushing out, we must be patient with him till he finishes the good work he started in our lives.
If you patiently tarry for his endowment, he will surely endued you with his presence.

Some people abort their own Tarrying at resting on stage believing they have carried something, smiles! It only rested on you sir, if it has not sinked into your bones and you leave, you only waste your time in place of Tarrying.If you patiently tarry for his endowment, he will surely endued you with his presence.
