BUY FOR YOURSELF

Buying is an act of getting something for yourself or someone with the aid of money, it is also a means of trade exchange where the buyer will pay money to the seller to get what he desires.

......... But go ye to them that sell and buy for yourself (Matthew 25:9)

it is impossible for a man to just go to the market or those selling goods and buy anything that will not be useful for him or add any value to his life for it will be counted unto him as foolishness.

In the concept of Christianity buying for yourself can be regarded as a means of getting those things that will add value to your spiritual life and things that will also sustain you in the race of faith. Though we are all bought with a price which is the blood of the lamb through which we are redeemed from death to life but without us inculcating the habits and purchasing lifestyle of Jesus, we will be prone to poverty in the spiritual realm.

the story of the ten virgins in Matthew 25 clearly narrates to us the two types of Christian and believers we have in the church today which are:

1. Those that have satisfactorily prepared 

2. Those that assume prepared 

Those that have prepared satisfactorily always make sure they fulfill all righteousness they don't wait for Pastor to tell them of their wrongdoings before making amendment, they have a good and cordial relationship with the Trinity, they never assume that they won't fall into sin, they are never tired of prayer and fasting, they always follow instructions wholly, and not partially, and they never believe that my partner or spouse, parents or my pastor Grace will cover me and so they are ever ready at all times waiting for the Clarion Call but in the place of those that assume prepared; all what they know is I am a born again Christian, they take any spiritual exercise with levity hand, they are never ready to agree in spirit, they are always depending on other Christian to solve the spiritual problems and they always assume all will be well without any action or preparation towards it and so they are caught unawares whenever the temptation arise.

Many of the believers are in the number 2 categories, they usually assumes that the annointing I am carrying cannot allow me to fall into sin, they are only waiting for the coming of Jesus Christ without any mind to fulfill. Yes! They can speak in tongues and do diverse miracle but don't have any relationship with the Father, all zealous to be used of God but not ready to pay the price for what they desire to buy. They desire unction,grace, authority,fire and annointing to change their generation but from a wrong source. Imagine the 5 foolish virgins seeking oil from their 5 wise counterparts, it's true they can both share the oil but they will both fail at the crossroads...no wonder the wise 5 advised politely:

AMP:But the wise replied, There will not be enough for us and for you; go instead to the dealers and buy for yourselves.

KJV:But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

(Matthew 25:9)

Will you stop chasing the man of God who has diligently paid the price for his annointing all around to lay hands on you and turn to God to "Buy for yourself" grace, diligence, annointing,and power to change your generation. Buying for yourself in this sense is not of money ( Isaiah 55:1) but of your diligence in place of prayer and your readiness in seeking God and tarrying for his presence and direction.

If you are not ready to go into market and get whatever you need, no one will go get his own and share it with you, so it's high time you gather your strength,buckle your shoes and tighten up your belt and visit the market to get what you desire if truly you want to move along with God.

The end result of those who relied on the strength and Grace of others is outer darkness(Matthew 25:12)
