WHY ARE YOU HERE

AMP:So the people, finding that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, themselves got into the small boats and came to Capernaum looking for Jesus. (John6:25)

The question why are you here seems to be a question often asked from a stranger by someone who appear to have a solution to such person problem. It often go along with another question "What can I do for you" or "How can I help you".

AMP:Jesus answered them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you have been searching for Me, not because you saw the miracles and signs but because you were fed with the loaves and were filled and satisfied. (John6:26)

Paraphrasingly, this question was asked by Jesus rhetorically from the crowd who came seeking for him when he discovered that the multitudes were seeking for him all around are not sincere in their followership. 

Many of them did not recognize whom he was, they usually find his teaching so hard, many tried stoning him and later were among those requesting for his crucifixion but yet following him all around wherever he went. Why?

AMP:Jesus said to him, Friend, for what are you here? Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and arrested Him. (Matthew 26:50)

The same way many people today come to church daily, attend numerous programs, all-night, and join the Church workforce without a genuine evidence of being born again was how these people made following Jesus their hobby without following his teachings. All what they want is miracles,healing and provision of foods. No hunger for his grace, annointing,power as of his real disciples. 

Many of us are even in the church today and even many are Pastor and workers but not because we Love Jesus, its simply because of what we need from him (I Corinthians 11:21, Luke 11:29, Matthew 12:37-38). It's even appalling seeing someone coming to Church purposely because of miracles and deliverance, not that it's not good but after getting what they want; they won't be found again in his vineyard(Luke 17:11-18) why, because they never have a personal encounter with him.

Why are you here? It's so saddened that most of us are yet to discover our purpose on Earth, the reason why we are living and what we were created for and we continue roaming about the street of the world, misbehaving and constantly bringing reproach to the name of the Almighty. 

You are a minister of God and you are yet to know the why he chose you to be a minister unto the nation; why are you here? You are a Christian Brother/ sister and you are just frustrating the grace of God  and have been wasting resurrection power of Jesus over your life. Why are you here? Do you seek for your daily bread instead of his daily guidance?, Do you seek annointing to heal the sick or power to raise the dead instead of a cordial relationship with him; why are you here? Are you in the church of God to enjoy cooperate annointing and grace, seeking whom to marry, or because you want people to know that you are Christian without a genuine evidence of salvation?

Hear this; 

AMP:Stop toiling and doing and producing for the food that perishes and decomposes [in the using], but strive and work and produce rather for the [lasting] food which endures [continually] unto life eternal; the Son of Man will give (furnish) you that, for God the Father has authorized and certified Him and put His seal of endorsement upon Him.(John6:27;54,4:14)

If you continue in following him without a genuine evidence of salvation, you will end up being among they who crucify him daily with your deeds and character which will bring an end and judgement of no mercy upon you (Matthew 7:23)

Why are you here? 

Are you still confused?

Tell it to Jesus who is able to establish thy feet in his ways and cause you to understand his dealings and acts (Phillipians 3:10).
