PUT THEM OFF(DO IT YOUR OWN WAY series one)

Before I start to write this article, I want to make it clear to you that it's not to encourage, laziness,pride and arrogance amidst the youths.

I have a very simple question to ask you....Why are you still in the same place you were last year, I mean why are you not advancing? It got you paused right? Now you are thinking....my Prayerlessness has been the reason, No! It's my lack of adequate studying, or is it my carelessness? Hmm! You seem not to know the right answer for the question. Oh I am not in the same place you said but let me help you to solve the puzzle...the reason you have not been moving forward in ministry,career, marriage,vision and spiritual life is because YOU ARE STILL PUTTING ON THE SAUL'S ARMOUR, YOU ARE STILL DOING IT THE WAY OTHERS ARE DOING IT, you still want to fight that battle the way Saul fought his own and it can't work that way until it's PROVED BY YOU.

........And David said unto saul, I cannot go with these( power, anointing,mode of dressing, way of preaching); for I have not proved them and David put them off. (1 Samuel 17:39 KJV)

Proving here means mastered, tested and what you have not proved or mastered may likely bring death or injury to whoever that try to use them without adequate training. It's true others have been running their own race like that, operating their ministry like that but if you try to move forward with them, the best results you can get is to crawl, it will eventually keep you in a position or delay your victory.

Imagine if David tried to confront Goliath with Saul's armour, the story would have been a tragic one because he would have gone to face him with spear, sword,shield,helmet and others weapon, in which the aftermath of the battle would have been in favour of Goliath and cost David and the whole Israelites their lives. 

Yes I understand you are under Tutelage and still a baby in ministry,respecting and honouring the testimony of your mentors and have a zeal to do more in defeating Satan but it's deadly to put on Saul armour when confronting Goliath.

In this kingdom, your own Shepherd bag and sling ( secret place and encounter) is the only weapon that will give you assurance of victory and not Saul armour, do you remember the son of sceva sir? So it's not about how they used to do it, it's about how I learned to do it and that is where personal encounter comes in ,the place of your testimony ( what you saw Him-God doing while in the wilderness) 

And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.(Genesis 3:2KJV)

And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him;thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. (1 Samuel 17:34-36KJV)

If you are still copying the way Papa Adeboye whom his encounter with God has humbled speaks or trying to copy the mode of Pastor Kumuyi whom his exposure and understanding of scriptures has changed teaching, or you want to start convincing your members that I can never be poor like Bishop Oyedepo whose vision bring a strong conviction about kingdom riches. Sir you are still not getting it , most a times their burden and what they carry which we are running after are too heavy on us and will not allow us to proceed, that is why you must wait for him to train you on how to fight your own battle and to give you directions on how to go.

He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.(Psalms 18:34KJV)

My message for you this day is to put those armours which belong to Saul off your neck and go to battle with your own sling, stick  to your vision, push hard to realize your mission, make sure you bring those dreams to reality and don't forget the place of Elders advice and word of encouragement ; it goes a long way in your victory over every Goliath of life.
