YOUR DECISION IS NOT ENOUGH, TAKE ACTION!

Decision is the ability to decide something clearly and quickly while action is the process of doing something in order to make it happen or to deal with a situation.

Its possible a man make a decision to do something and refuse to engage the process of making it real which makes all decision a dream and the action taken in achieving them make them a reality.

Every man on earth make a decision every day and few of them make sure it comes to reality, the percentage of they that take actions towards their decision are very few and no wonder the world is full of frustrated people while the grave is full of untapped potentials and unused glory.

I will be very brief in this article in bringing and communicating the mind of God to you but I wouldn’t want you to read it alone but also to put it into action in your life so as to lay your hands on tangible results.

Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die; wherefore they arose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of Syria……

{2 kings 7:4,5}

The story of these four lepers best describes the lifestyle of many people today, some will make decision but will not take the action of actualizing it while few take the needed steps to make their dreams a reality; they were under siege and needed food and were left with a decision to go look for food which they made and didn’t allow the decision to stop there, they arose and went in to the Syrian camp.

Many of us believers are still where we were because of our inability to take action, we have made different decisions times without numbers, we have written so many resolutions but yet have not takes a single step towards achieving the decision we made. We tend to keep brooding over those decisions thinking how long we give them time will determine the amount of results they will bring without knowing that a hen who overstay the normal days for incubation may end up having nothing.

God called you into ministry, Yes I know you accepted his call but for how long will it take you to start? You have drafted out that business idea, when will you start implementing them? You have made numerous decisions to go on a spiritual retreat and you keep on procrastinating it, different brothers have proposed to you and asked your hands in marriage but you keep on telling them you have not confirmed it, when will you get out of that shell?

Procrastination is not patience, it is not a virtue, it is called laziness and waste of time (Ecclesiastes 11:4) and the end results will be lack (financially, spiritually, maritally, academically and other areas of life). It is evident today that we have less results in our lives, church, organization because we have much of decision maker than step taker, all of us do wait for green light the preacher warned us against in 11 chapter of his book and in line 4 that will give us restful confidence that all will be well when we take the steps. Hmm our regards for the wind and the fair weather might make us to be seen as a failure at the end if we do not take the action now.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen {Hebrews 11:1}

Let faith have its work in you to start up your decision, time is no longer on your side dear.

Conclusively, dear readers may I tell you that the quickest action you have to make is surrendering your life to Christ, you have made up your mind in different times and occasions to surrender your life to Jesus but till today you have not taken that bold step. Will you take the best of this moment n ow and surrender your life to him? If yes, take this simple prayer below:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge you as my Lord and savior, please wipe my name from the books of death and write it in the book of life, wash me clean from my sins by your precious blood and make me whole, keep me till the end by your grace and help me to sin no more, make me yours forever. And I am yours in Jesus name (Amen).
